Basecamp Alternative
For those who can’t afford Basecamp monthly pricing, you can use and install the older version of activeCollab at your own server for free.
While the latest activeCollab has plenty improvements and major features, it force you to pay subscription fee similar to Basecamp. I have no idea why the activeCollab team hide the download page below from public.

I haven’t tried the subscription version of activeCollab yet. I’d more to Basecamp because their APIs are used by larger communities like Invoice Machine and timer apps on Mac.
However, the subscription fee of the services above are too expensive in my opinion. Actually there are tons of free alternative but with less interesting (and complicated) designs like ProjectPier.
It’s all just about design that convincing you for perfection.
